Law firm Furley Page has underlined its reputation as a growing force in the UK’s dental and healthcare sectors by appointing another solicitor with the expertise to act for clients involved in dental sales and acquisitions.
The appointment of Elsie Lyford further strengthens Furley Page’s highly-regarded Corporate Team as it continues to expand its expert legal services offered to dental, healthcare, veterinary and pharmaceutical industries across the country.
Elsie, aged 39, has joined Kent-based Furley Page after previously working for two Surrey law firms. She has years of experience advising on corporate transactions, with particular emphasis on the acquisition and sale of dental practices.
Elsie says: “I have developed a thorough understanding of the professional and commercial requirements of dentists and have experience of dealing with the sale and purchase of NHS, mixed and private dental practices, partnerships, expense sharing relationships and general dental legal and regulatory matters.

Elsie is a member of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD), a national network of professionals who provide tailored services to the dental profession (more information at www.aspd.co.uk). She is one of the experts taking part in a seminar on retirement planning for dentists in Reading on 18 September in conjunction with PFM Dental (Practice Sales and Valuations).
Specialist legal advice for dentists is provided by the Corporate Team at Furley Page, which is led by Partner and Head of Corporate Susan Jennings. Elsie, who is married with two children and lives in Cobham, Surrey, was educated in Bristol. She graduated with a degree in textile art from the Winchester School of Art before qualifying as a solicitor. A keen artist, she has taken part in many solo and group exhibitions.
