If you’re a dentist, it’s nearly time for you to renew your registration. The Annual Renewal period opens on 20th November 2017 and is the opportunity for you to ensure you stay on the register and can continue practising. Those who don’t renew their registration between 20th November 2017 and 31st December 2017, will be removed from the register, so it’s imperative that all dentists remember to complete these three simple steps:
1. Declare and/or confirm you have indemnity;
2. Pay your Annual Renewal Fee (ARF); and
3. Make your CPD statement, if it’s required.
The quickest and most efficient way of renewing is via eGDC – which is an online platform that is accessible 24/7. eGDC allows dental professionals to complete all three of the steps listed above. It is also a helpful way to keep personal details up to date and to download their annual practice certificate. If you need to renew your registration and don’t yet have an eGDC account, it’s quick and easy to set one up, via: www.egdc-uk.org. You can also renew your registration via telephone by calling 0800 197 4610, or by post.
This year, you will be declaring your CPD under the current scheme for the final time, as enhanced CPD will be introduced in 2018. For more information about ECPD, visit: https://www.gdc-uk.org/professionals/cpd/enhanced-cpd
