One lucky dental student was recently given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to sing live on stage with one of his favourite bands. According to ctvnews.ca, Ryan Luxenberg was invited to sing and play on stage with U2 at a recent concert after lead singer, Bono, spotted his small handwritten sign in the crowd.

When asked by the Irish singer which song he wanted to sing, and that his sign “Age 23. Can I Play?” meant he really could play guitar, the Edge handed Ryan his guitar and they all launched into the band’s 1988 hit, Desire.

Ryan recalled: “Bono asked me, ‘What do you play?’ and I answered, ‘Anything.' It was a cool moment, I have to say.”

Videos of Ryan’s exploits have been shared across social media where he even takes over from Bono towards the end to belt out the chorus.

While not confirming or denying whether he Still Hasn’t Found What he’s Looking For, Ryan spoke of their parting when the song finished: “We exchanged a few handshakes and hugs. It was a beautiful moment.”

Expressing Pride at what really was The Sweetest Thing, Ryan’s Beautiful Day will be one he will surely remember. He may have three years of dental school left, but Ryan will surely realise that as things work in Mysterious Ways, a rockstar career could prove Even Better Than The Real (dental) Thing.
