Dentists receive awards in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list

Dentists receive awards in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list

Five dentists have received awards in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list, the British Dental Association reports.

The list rewards outstanding achievement, service and success across the UK.

Among those recognised were Professor Nigel Hunt, Dawn Adams, Margaret Ross, Serbjit Kaur and Linda Greenwall. 

Professor Nigel Hunt, Head of the Orthodontics Unit at Eastman Dental Institute, was also awarded an OBE for his services to dentistry and to the specialty of orthodontics.

Linda Greenwall, Dentist, Hampstead Healthcare Ltd was awarded a British Empire Medal for her services to the dental profession in the UK and abroad.

Dawn Adams, Clinical Director, Public Dental Service, NHS Fife, was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to dentistry.

Margaret Ross, lately Senior Lecturer for Dental Care Professionals at the University of Edinburgh, was awarded an OBE for her services to dentistry.

Serbjit Kaur, a dentist at Hampstead Healthcare Ltd, was awarded a British Empire Medal for her services to the Jewish community and Interfaith Relations in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
