The newly formed European Aligner Society (EAS) may only be a few months old, but that hasn’t stopped it reaching several exciting milestones already.
The EAS is set to formally launch at the World Federation of Orthodontists Congress at Excel in London between 27 and 30 September 2015. Potential members are advised to visit the founders at stand 548 to find out more.
As well as that, the EAS’ inaugural conference, Aligners, a clear new era in orthodontics, will take place in Vienna on 13-14 February 2016. The directors have put together a series of lectures and workshops led by some of the world’s foremost aligner exponents.
Further to its remit to provide education in aligner therapy, their first live one-hour webinar Aligner Therapy and Biomechanics was presented by the Society President Dr Graham Gardener in mid-June, which can be viewed on their website here.
Created to provide continuing information about developments in clear aligner therapy, the society also aims to provide membership services that will form the basis of the ‘aligner’ community, provide support to members, offer advice and guidance and make resources available to those to support and develop education in clear aligner therapy.
Membership of EAS is open now. As an incentive to clinicians to support EAS as early as possible, subscription for the first year will only require renewal a year after the formal launch – September 2016. Visit www.eas-aligners.com to find out more.
